My wife and I are casual certified divers who came to Cozumel for the exceptional reef diving. We were greeted instead with Tropical Storm Ida. While the weather didn't seem too bad, it was enough to shut the ferries down and strand us in Playa Del Carmen an extra night. When we finally arrived in Cozumel, it was so nice to come to a clean and well maintained hotel. We were in room 5 and loved the layout of the place. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are staying with relatives or something. Jerry and Leona are more than accommodating and helped us every step of the way - from setting up our dives to giving us rides to beach clubs if they are going out. They are just genuinely wonderful people who are willing to help in any instance. They do a wonderful job of creating a fun, family-style environment at their hotel that truly is fun. They have suggestions for all the good eateries and we didn't have a bad meal the whole time we were there. We highly recommend the Coral Reef Inn and are already trying to plan a trip back for my father -in-law's 50th.
