We rented two rooms for 4 of us and did the PADI Open Water certification class through the Inn and Dive Paradise. Both were great. The Coral Reef Inn is not fancy but has a great Karma and is very comfortable. It is a 10 minute walk from everything of interest. We cooked many meals in the top floor kitchen which is well equipt. If you walk 5 blocks or so inland there is a very nice sports park where we played tennis in the evening on nice lighted courts, on the north side of the park is Ada our "juice lady" who makes the best fresh juice drinks and is great to chat with. Our favorite resturant was HC Monterey on 5th by the cemetary, great cheap steak. Had a very enjoyable stay.
